One of our cameras was recently droped by a news photgrapher.  We sent our high def camera to Canon for repair and were told it would cost  from $200 to $400 to repair it depending on the severity.  We  paid the $400 and we have now used it for the first time since it was returned. We video taped a congressional debate.  It recorded fine but would not download to our computer for airing on tv.  We have returned the camera for warranty  service and have not recieved a response back from Canon after repeated calls including one to Canon President Joe Adachi      1-516-328-5000. Other than a no charge estimate for the repairs which were suppose to be done in 7 to 10 days, it has now been over three weeks and we have been unable to cover several political forums and consumer concerns because of their delay.

We  were able to speak to Mr. Adachi’s Ex Asst, Ms. Dot Auguston who had there Senior Expeditor, Michael Logan contact us.  The camara was promptly repaired and returned to us.  We know that no one is perfect and even though the delays we experienced were excessive, the bottom line is upper management delt with the issue promptly and set a standard for their associates to follow.   Canon receives our four star rating ****
